It is when nurses and care providers care for patients in their home. You can get a nurse, physical therapist, or someone to help with activities of daily living (bathing, cleaning, cooking), depending on the need of the patient. A doctor must write and order and specify how much time is allowed per day. A nurse will come to the home and do an evaluation to help decide exactly what the needs of the patient are.
