There is this place called Tanglewood Resort on lake Texhoma. It's just an hour north of Dallas. I've gone there a couple of times and stayed in the tower suites which are really nice. They have all sorts of different room types and price ranges. You can view them online. They always have lots of specials going on too. There's even one called "Girls' Night Out". They have a spa there and lots of other amenities. It's definitely worth checking out.

What kind of activities constitute a girl's weekend? Partying, or talking or what? If it's partying why not check into a Dallas hotel or B&B and just pretend you are out of town.

One of the problems with Dallas is that there is not much around here.

Rockwall is pretty nice. Lots of the same shopping that is in Dallas, good restaurants like Culpepper's, Snuffers, and of course many of your franchises like On the Border, Chili's, etc.

Also Rockwall is on the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard which offers many recreational opportunities.

Winstar in Oklahoma to hit up the casinos. It is about an hour and a half north of dallas.

Fort Worth would also be fun. There is lots to do in Sundance Square and all of the parks and museums are also near downtown.

What about Granbury, Tx? I hear it has some quaint shops downtown, and some decent bed and breakfast places.

Unless your the party hearty type
