I've taken more demanding classes for this year, so I have more work to do. I don't mind this, but I have an age-old problem just recently come to light.

For my AP Language and Composition class, I have to do a 40 minute 5 paragraph essay in class and it has to be well written. I can get some good ideas and get them to flow sure enough, but here's the problem: I don't really have TIME to... I just can't write fast enough! I could easily go on in my essay for pages and pages, but my wrist just doesn't want to move faster. Not to mention the fact that, unlike in my notes, I can't use shorthand.

I could practice, but I want to know if there are other techniques to use, if any. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, and one more thing; I have a mild problem with tendonitis that has greatly improved but still shows up sometimes when I write. I already have something to help this, but the occasional cramp in my wrist still occurs, so I hope your tips can avoid this problem. Thanks!

In addition, I already write in cursive (it's a habit of mine) and though I only just get the prompt, I can usually dish out my ideas. However, I still don't finish my essays. (I'm forced to leave out a body paragraph and my conclusions are 1-2 sentences, not to mention rushed. Eep.)

I took the class last year, and I got a 5 on the test.

Definitely not okay to not finish, that's ridiculous.

I would suggest learning to write faster, and make your "web" or any prewrites you do more condensed. If you don't do them, then you're all set I guess...

You need to get it done faster, which you already knew. You're competing nationally with kids for your grade.

wow, im taking the exact same class, my only suggestion though, would be to talk to your teacher, and also, i believe that its ok if u dont finish the essay, its supposedly a "draft", so just try to get as much done as possible, and maybe work on planning our ur ideas faster, so u have more time to write
