how frequently are twins premature?

I heard that expercting twins makes for a greater chance of having premature birth. Do you know what percentage of twins are premature?

I'm not sure, but even if I had a number to give you it wouldn't mean much. Everyone is different, and doctors still don't quite know what causes twins to be premature. I had a great pregnancy and my twins were born at 34 weeks. Most twin moms I talk to (and that's a lot, because I live in a large city) went much longer, although most are induced if they go beyond 38 weeks. Even though my babies were premature, they only had to stay in hospital 6 days. They are almost 7 and have never had any ill effects from being premature. Do what your doctor tells you and you should be fine.

Hi I'm not sure but nearly all twins are born slightly premature mine were born at 37weeks i could have gone longer but had pre eclampcia so had to have a csection, i think it depends on the lady carrying the twins and how she copes with the weight, most likely 70% are born premature

I only watched a baby tale a pair of couple with MoMo twins, and he or she grew to become into on bedrest very early and in the well-being facility, yet her twins have been fantastic. I only had same twins approximately 3 weeks approximately and my physician had noted twin-twin transfusion, inspite of the incontrovertible fact that it wasn't sparkling to me, so i did no longer do it. I had them at 34 weeks. One remains in the NICU, the different one got here residing house final week.
