OK, recently I was on ebay and realized that the ps3 has finally dropped considerabley in price since its launch in November. I'v been looking foward to purchasing one, but kind of don't have alot of money, so I went to ebay like everyone else in America and Japan! So anyway I saw that the Japanese version of the system is greatly cheaper! What's up with that, I thought that the Japan version was better? Is there a catch I should watch and pay more and get an American version?!@ please help I'm in need of Sony help

Nevermind I found out the only reason it's different is it can't play PS1 and PS2 games since it's japanese and only blu-ray DVD not normal American ones!

Yen is cheaper than the american dollar...

Another reason that they could be cheaper is because you cant play american games on the japanese consoles. You would only be able to play the japanese versions of games and they would be in the japanese language.
