Forget about Oropos, Halkida and Porto Rafti. These are just ugly new towns around Athens.I'd say go to Aegina, it's a very picturesque island 1 hour from Athens by ferry boat (there are boats every hour from Piraeus). It is beautiful, has some nice beaches, archaeology, nice town, etc. The same goes for Nafplion, 2 hours from Athens, near the archaeological sites of Epidauros and Mycenae. Also you could find another nearby island, like Andros (the boat leaves from Rafina). I'd say don't count too much on being by the beach, because the water will be cold in the spring.

Nothing like that near Athens even if anyone tells you so (personal opinion). Prefer to stay a night or two in Athens for all the sightseeing and go to Mykonos best place for nightlife an beaches in spring, or to Santorini for the amazing scenery. Or even better do some island hopping.

I'd suggest Aigina island, it's less than an hour from the port of Pireaus and it's more like a city, has everything..and if you don't like it, there are ships to athens every 30' so, no problem! they cost around 4 euros per passenger i think. Try it! it's a nice place if you don't wanna go too far from athens.

You could go to the north. There are some seaside villages near Oropos, several of them. No night life in the Spring but you could go to Halkida easily by car. Also check Porto Rafti

Book yourself the most attractive suite in the Astir Palace Hotel in Vouliagmeni, and all places you mentioned yourself are within short distance. For the longer excursions, buy yourself a mega-yacht, you have a good yacht club/port on the Vouliagmeni peninsular to keep it close-by if you do not feel like sailing. Life can be a dream, raising the money is reality.. If you make it; maybe we will become neighbors. Good luck with the Lotto..

OK, here it is.... but you better pick me as Best Answer, je, je.....
Take a flight to the Islands......beautiful. And you can go island hopping once you're there to the smaller ones without airports...a lot of them have beautiful villages, mountains, great nightclubs, a lot of open-mindness too...... (My personal favorite is the island of Hydra), Mykonos has lots of nightlife, and Santorini has great donkey rides around town!
