She could have teeth breaking through. Try using different kinds of "dips". They love to dip and dunk their food at that age. (Ketchup, ranch dressing, yogurt, etc.)

don't puree. use a food grinder. it is still "pre-chewed" but it has a coarser texture. When she is used to the ground diet,
s-l-o-w-l-y work in very soft peices of food for her to mash with her gums. milk soaked cheerios are a big hit. as she gets used to the chewing, you can give them a little firmer until she can just eat them.
we went from puree (stage 2 baby food)
to ground (in a food grinder)
to fork mashed
now we are on some fork mashed, some soft finger foods

It could be that your 12 month old is a bit weary of those teeth coming in. Gums may be sore when teeth first start sprouting out and very sensitive. Grit your teeth and bare it cause she will stop soon or later. It will pass. But be patient with the child. Don't force it. And you're welcome...............
