Good Idea Topic?

I have to write a cause and effect paper. I need a problem though. What problem could I use for the paper?

Well if you have no specific topic you have to write it on, write it on human-enviroment interaction. Like for example, write it on how by the world population needing more supplies and land to build, we are destroying our rainforests (which provide medicines for uncurable diseases, food, protection for animals, and much more), which also provides about 1/2 of our earth's oxygen. So there is a lot that you can write about but I thought this would be a good one.
