Okay so, My daughters phone gets about 4 empty texts a day from my husbands work phone. He couldnt send a text to save his life! They happen at random times and they are NOT in his outbox. Its usually when his phone is in his pocket at work but it has happend while weve been just driving in the car. Can anyone explain this to us??

Its a regular phone, but we cant work out why not in outbox

I even suspect your telco do funny business. My mum rings my sister in Farnce and she has noticed unknown numbers in france on her bill, when she queried it they said "Oh dear, we'll credit that to you" I think it smells a bit fishy. they take ie for granted that u will recognise the number and just accept it, thats my suspision anyway

I've seen similar things happen with my phone. At some point he must have accidentally sent an SMS. The short message centre (which has the job of storing and delivering the SMS) has made several attempts to deliver and thought it couldn't But the messages did in fact get through (this can happen). Eventually the SMSC will give up (a number of days) and the empty SMSs will stop.

maybe he presses buttons while he is sitting down? is it a flip phone or a regualer one?
