Wait a second. Your boyfriend is the one who wants you to wear makeup? He doesn't count. You are your own person and don't need to listen to him. Just because you wear clothes from Abercrombie and Hollister, doesn't mean that you have to wear makeup. Makeup isn't about your style. I know girls who wear a lot of make up, but still wear sweatpants and a t-shirt.
Also, you expressed a concern about whether your boyfriend likes you for what you wear and your looks. That is the stupidest reason in the world to go out with someone, so if you have suspicions, I think it is either time to have a serious talk with him, or break it off. Because you are not an object to be displayed and ogled at. You are a person, and you have likes, dislikes, feelings and a personality.
All of that being said, if you still want to wear makeup, here is my suggestion. Stick to very very light things. A little [emphasis on the little] bit of shimmery pink or gold eyeshadow, a little mascara, chapstick and a good skin care regimen go a long way in making you look really nice. And it won't take a long time either :]

Ok, PLEASE be the girl in your school who actually knows how to wear her makeup...first and foremost, do not put a ring of black eyeliner around your eyes, I see that trend mostly in 8th graders, but still remember that tip :) Ok, depending a little on your coloring, a bit of a blush, a light lipgloss and maybe a lavender or pale pink eyeshadow with a smidge of mascara, very minimal, depending on what your parents will allow. That's what I put on young girls like you, I work at one of those cosmetic counters in the mall. Or just go to one of the counters in the mall, the nice cosmetic counters will do a free consultation for you and figure out what colors you need, and maybe even give you a few free samples! Good luck :)

For one, I am so glad that you are asking this. I'm tired of seeing young, perfectly pretty girls wearing too much makeup.
When I was in sixth I didn't wear any to be honest, but there were girls already in full faces of foundation, eyeliner, mascara, LIPSTICK, etc. I'd say the absolute most would be a lip tint (like a cross between gloss and lipstick, plus they are mostly moisturizing!), light natural colored eyeshadows, and using a facial lotion. You are NEVER to young to be using moisturizers on your face and neck, because it will pay off in the long run. I'm in 9th grade right now, and I've taken care of my skin (Washed my makeup off every night, worn lotion with spf when I go outside, applied lotion twice everyday, etc) since I was in 5th. My skin is the best looking out of alot of people in my highschool! It's great. So ya, I hope this helped!

well, i dont think you need to becuase when your younger, your skin is still flawless.
if you are going to, use maybe just some lipgloss with chapstick, always use chapstick to prevent your lips from drying out.
use a little bit of eye shadow, no mascara, becuase then it looks like you're trying to hard. trust me, i knew those girls in 6th grade.
and you can use blush, but for some reason, i dont like using it. it just takes up time to put it on, i dont know.
don't go overboard with the makeup though. i hardly wear any right now, and even though my skins not perfect, i still get the attention i want, and the added bonus is that my pores aren't being clogged from wearing makeup all day haha.

My personal opinion is that you may want to wait a while longer before you wear make-up. Maybe there is a particular reason for why you would want to. But, when I was in the 6th grade I still liked to play. A little helpful advice, I have kids of my own and I would rather them worry about learning how to be their own people, and not just trying to fit in.

i started wearing makeup when i was in middle school too. back then i didn't wear much still tho. i usuallly use eyeliner, eyebrow (darkened my eyebrow), and mascara. every now and then i wore lipstick or lipgloss and eyeshadow but not much. my mom didn't mind that i wore makeup either but it might have been because i never went overboard with it.
ok so i'm saying is it's up to you but if you think you look great without makeup then you don't have to wear makeup.
about your bf, i can't tell yet if he likes you for you or for your appearance. i would need more info to make a conclusion.

I don't think you should because it will make your face look wrinkly and unnatural when you get older. I am 18 and do not wear any face make up but I do wear eyeshadow and some lipgloss... I used to wear make up when I was in 8th grade but I stopped because it would get all over my bfs clothes... lol I actually think I look better without it!!!

Well if your boyfriend thinks you look better w/ make up, then dump him. It's a bit shallow and rude. You're too young to wear make up. If anything just use a little clear lip gloss or something.

I'm also in Sixth Grade Usually I just wear a little mascara and a little eye shadow. U don't want it to over your look. i usually don't wear to much because my boyfriend says it over powers my beautiful face. So just wear a little .
