With the development of the cotton gin is there a market for transgenic seedless cotton? Would this bring down production cost or is the cost of removing the seed worth having, since oil can be obtained from the seed.

The coolest transgenic cotton research involves making the seeds non-poisonous. Also, seedless cotton wouldn't have seeds you could plant to grow it. It would have to be vegetatively propagated in a lab, which would make it expensive.

1).....The only challenge in this case will be to make the seeds or plants of this breed available on reasonable prices. 2).....Seedless cotton plants even with an equal per acre yield will be producing 200% more cotton than seedy cotton as seeds contribute 66% to it's weight. 3).....of course there is market. We need cotton for yarn etc no matter what breed it is as far as it is suitable for knitting. 4).....Can you please tell me where can i find this cotton.
