On most vacuums, there is a tube or hose that runs for the mouth of the vacuum to the bag. Most times, something gets picked up and lodged in this hose. You will need to dismantle the vacuum to the point where you can stick something down the hose to dislodge the item. Once the item gets stuck, everything else just piles up in front of it until the vacuum stops picking up.

The maker of your vacuum is Royal. They make Dirt Devils. It is probably plugged in the hose that carries the dirt to the bag or the clearview tub, whichever. Most of these things nowadays, have a hose that's detachable from the base so you can pick up crumbs and dust from around the edges of a room, so pull it out of it's connetor hole and see if there's any vacuum at the open end. If not then you need to check the base area where the dirt goes in to see if there's a plugged area there. The hose can be plugged also, and there's a possiblity that the belt is broken. Several possibilities.

the hose that carries the dirt to the bag is probably plugged in or might be damage and have some hole or opening that the air is passing through. detach the hose from the base and check inside if you can see one end from the other end. if not removed the thing that plugged in it. If it is clear and not plugged check the entire hose for a possible damage. crack or hole in the hose causes air to pass in there causing the vacuum not to work properly.

Do you have each and all the products of the DD with you or have they broken or shrink very badly. Get somebody to connect the products after careful removing or do it your self and then replace the belt with the suited length ( the dimensions would be suggested on the previous belt). while you're no longer helpful of repairing the DD then take it to somebody who can help.
