Yes, and while they are pretty good fantasy novels (and have inspired many knock-offs and rpg-related paraphenalia), I'm not a huge fan. I find the Drizzt books to get old rather quickly, when every other chapter is about how Drizzt can't be accepted no matter where he goes. That being said, I love the characters Breunor and Wulfgar, etc.
If you want to read some other great fantasy novels check out the works of David Gemmell (Legend and Winter Warriors are two of his great books) and John Marco (especially the trilogy starting with The Eyes of God). Gemmell and Marco both have a style that is more a medieval military focus, which I find much more fulfilling.
Of course if you want a novel that reads like a Dungeon & Dragons' adventure, read anything from the Weiss and Hickman Dragonlance series.

Drizzt Do'Urden is only like the best fantasy swordsman in the whole world. I loved the Dark Elf trilogy and no matter how bad humans treat him Drizzt ALWAYS does the right thing. I 've read just about everything Salvatore has ever written, but the Books that feature Drizzt and Flint and Regis and all the rest are the best..
Now if you like Salvatore you're going to LOVE Dennis McKiernan Voyage of the Fox Rider, The Eye of the Hunter, Tales of Mithgar and the Dragonstone just to name a few......I think that you'll love him

Drizzt is one serious awesome dark elf!
Drizzt Do'Urden is a fictional character in the Dungeons & Dragons-based Forgotten Realms setting. As an anti-stereotype drow, Drizzt has forsaken both the evil ways of his people and their home (in the Underdark). Drizzt is one of the most well-known heroic characters of the Forgotten Realms.
Drizzt's story is told in the fantasy novels of R. A. Salvatore, including The Icewind Dale Trilogy, The Dark Elf Trilogy, the Legacy of the Drow series, the Paths of Darkness series, The Hunter's Blades Trilogy, and the short stories "The Dowry" and "Dark Mirror." He has also been featured in some D&D-based computer role-playing games, including the Baldur's Gate Series and the more action-oriented Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone.
