Love is easily one of the most important things to a person's life. People love and are loved by family, friends, crushes, etc.

But when we love, we don't love consciously. We love subconsciously. What i mean by this is. When we are attracted to a person, we are attracted because our subconscious finds security with this individual. But there's one problem.....our subconscious changes often. [end of the technical stuff]

----- Now on to your question -----

If love is the feeling we get when we are secure. And love gives us happiness. I think it would be safe to say security gives us happiness.

But love does play a big part in our lives. It drives us, and distracts us. I motivates us and slows us down. It gives us joy, and pain. It does everything.

So I believe that if you ARE loved, then you can be happy. If you LOVE, then you can find security. If you have security you feel safe to be happy.

So, it isn't the love of your life that makes you happy. It is the fact that you are loved by others and the security you get from the ones you love that makes you happy.

There's no such thing as "that one person". I'm not saying that because I'm a loveless loner. I'm happily married, a mama, close family and friends.... But there's no Mr./Ms. Right for each person. I think if a person's happiness is dependent upon finding a mate, they won't be happy if they are unable to fulfill their wish. This would be true if a person was not content with life unless they could be famous, too. We have to be comfortable with our current situation or happiness will never be ours. According to Jesus, the secret to happiness is in giving, so if we focus on helping others we can be happy whether married, single, or non-celebrity. ;)

“Forget about that one person” ---Do you really need that one person for a change, out of desperation due to coming of age, or companion like a lackey, answering to your every command. Maybe having that one person is mere compliance to trendy feeling, nothing in common to the cloths we are wearing in reality to the prevalence. ---Any for the matter that we are ever chasing with no objective but merely a call to satisfy the obsession in us.
