I was wondering why corsair memory is much cheaper than other brands. For and example of what i'm saying check out http://tigerdirect.com

Corsair memory, even ValueSelect, is almost never cheaper than other brands. Their XMS2 series is very high end and uses Micron D-9 ICs. They also make some of the fastest memory in the world. ValueSelect, despite it's name, is very good quality and should not be underestimated. Anyway, it's not necessary to buy Corsair but they do make excellent RAM!

I checked that site and I'm pretty sure it's not. A stick of Corsair brand ram and another stick from a different brand that has the same specs (size, frequency, latency, heatspreaders, etc) will both cost the same.

Because your looking at valuselect probably, the xms2 is not cheap, nor slow..
