Could be a fungus... or eczema... or something else. Do not panic! It is probably not too bad, especially if she has no fever or other symptoms... but you'll have to see your doctor for diagnosis.

Hmmm - try an oatmeal bath - Aveeno has a great bath product that has worked well both of my boys. Try to skip the lotion. The oatmeal is moisturizing - no need to moisturize. Benadryl is ok too but you will have to call the dr to get the dosing for his age. Also - have you switched detergents or soaps recently. That can cause rashes -- if he is laying on you or your bed. My son had a rash when he was finishing up Penicillin for an ear infection .. it didn't go away so I called the Dr. and he was actually allergic to penicillin! I would say if it lasts longer than a few days or if he runs a fever take him in to the Dr. just to be on the safe side.

Hmm could be yeast or it could be a heat rash. It could be an allergic rash or something more serious. What kind of baby lotion? I would use calamine lotion (be careful not to get the kind with anything added) or zinc cream with as few ingredients added as possible. If you think it is zinc you need an antifungal and for heat rash I believe corn starch is best.
I think it would be best to go to the doctor, sorry.

It sounds to me its a heat rash. instead of putting lotion on it try diaper rash ointment or he has a dry skin problem. Make sure with the lotion that u use make sure its fragrance free. make sure he hes in something nice and cool too. if for any reasons hes running a fever i would call the doctor. and if u happen to notice kinda bright red spots in his mouth with no fever and red spots all over his body its a virus and it will go away on there own normally. just make sure he gets plenty to drink.

Lotion is the wrong thing if it's prickly heat rash. The skin needs to be clean and dried out with a light coat of powder. (The kind with calamine is good.)

It also could be a yeast infection. When a baby gets wet or sweaty yeast forms and causes a rash. The doctor will give you a ointment for it. Good luck.

Has he ate any new foods lately? Because it could be an allergic reaction to food. And I would also check anything that has come into contact with his skin that isn't normally. New laundry detergent, soap, lotion?? Anything like that. I would wait and if it doesn't get better go to a doctor.

Take him to the doctor! A rash can be the sign of something more serious. You do not want to fool around with it.
