Thirty years from now (2007), or thirty years from 1990?

In 1990, you would need 65.52 elementary schools. The next ten years should end with 83 elementary schools, then 105 after 20 years, and 132.8296 at the end of 30 years.

Actually we can simplify it. 1/3 of the population are students, every 200 students needs a school. So, devide the population by 600 to get the number of schools.

1970: 41
1980: 52
1990: 65

These numbers are bit better. Using that rate of growth, use the compounding formula to evaluate growth. A spreadsheet will do the calculation very quickly.

work w/ The formula first:
W(t)=W*(1+x)^t |:W
W(t)/W=(1+x)^t | take t Th root
t th root of (W(t)/W)=1+x |-1
t th root of (W(t)/W)-1=x

t=1980-1970=10

x~.025

Proof:
W(t)=24567*(1+.025)^10
W(t)=31567 (only approx.)
now, the following years:
2000: approx. 50513
64905 approx for 2010
83398 approx for 2020.

i guarantee nothing.
