Take some classes PUBLIC SPEAKING 101
1. Self Defense Class, or kartate, or tak won du (spelling?)
2. Self Assertivness Training Class
3. Take up Yoga or Meditation
4. Learn to play a musical instrument (private lessons)
OR
5. Take an Art Class with Seniors!!
Basically I'm saying take a Martial Arts class-- this will instill desipline and you will learn how to protect yourself and that is a big Confidence booster!
Self Assertiveness Training classes were big in the 1980's and 90's!! They help teach you how to talk so people will respect you.
And how not to be walked on like a door matt.
Yoga and or Meditation are for your Spirit and will calm your inner self and you will be guided thru exercises in stretching your body and your mind. This will give you a wonderful feeling of peace, and you will feel more purposeful and find more meaning in life, and be more confident.
and lastly-- find a hobby that you are good at, something that YOU are unique and special at and good at. WE all have to start as beginners. I took an Art class with Seniors, they loved having someone a few decades younger than them, and liked to help me, as I didn't know a thing about art, or painting or drawing.
Now I hang my art in my own home!!
Next for me, is to take music lessons!!!
(they'd have to be private, cuz I'm too embarassed i'd be aweful in a group!) *i was very shy as a child, and now I've done public speaking!!! it's amazing when you take a few little classes how your life can change.
I have taught teacher training seminars, and sang in front of 100 people solo! Something I thought I could never do.
Try the Martial Arts, Self Assertiveness Training, Art Class
Knowledge is Power= Confidence!
oH, and Stand up tall and make Eye Contact!!
Walk Tall and Proud!
im me if you need some books, i'd have to look them up for you!

Self confidence is something you earn- from yourself. Stop being what you think people want to see or hear, start being you- and don't be anything else. Do each thing you and each thing you say in a way that you can respect, regardless of what others may think. You will soon begin to approve of yourself, and what others think won't matter as much. When you like you- you will be confident.

Confidence is one of the hardest things to build at first, but once you start, it just keeps getting stronger.
Confidence comes from your accomplishments. If you can be successful in difficult situations your confidence is boosted. The only drawback is when you are unsuccessful. But don't despare! It is only one small drawback that can be easily overrun by an accomplishment
A great way to build confidence is to place yourself outside of your comfort zone. Try talking to new people, and making new friends. Try to be more competitive. Competition is a great way to build confidence.
But most importantly: start slow. You don't want to push yourself too far, and make sure you don't hurt anyone on your way.
GOOD LUCK!!!

I think one of the biggest confidence boosters we can give ourselves is to set goals and follow through with them. They might be small at first, but as they build on each other, we become more confident in being able to reach greater goals.

Too many "Apprentice" people answering this question. I'm sure I won't even register. But what the hay....
Know who you are, what your strengths are, and never forget them.
The 2nd is what you want confidence in, business or relationships?
Believe it or not, the answer doesn't change which answer you chose.
Everybody has talent, Nobody is made the same....
Play to your strengths.

You can probably purchase on line, like anything else. For some people, it comes in the form of a liquid or pill. For you, I suggest some daily self-affirmations. Look at yourself in the mirror and say out loud all the things you are good at and remind yourself of all of your great qualities/characteristics. Say that you are good enough, strong enough, and smart enough!! Believe in God and smile at people. I'm willing to bet that you'll start to see a difference. Good luck to you!!

Take down somebody who has lots of it. Next time you see Paris Hilton, tell her she's fat.
