Can you define yourself?

Yes, it's an open-ended question. What makes you the person that you are?

Experience makes me the person that i am. It is the drive to understand myself and my surroundings. It is the hardships that i have fought through, and the ones to come. It is the joys i have experienced and have yet to experience.

I am, one who has experienced, is experiencing, and has yet to experience, my life and the life that has been given to me by others.

I am human, and seek knowledge and wish to be productive. Therefore I am who everyone else is. Someone driven by my experiences and my surroundings.

Excellent question!!!!!!!!!!

Me? I am a God's creation. Put on earth for a reason. To play my part as a daughter, friend, collegue, lover, wife, mother, daughter-in-law, sister, employee, employer and so on.

Me? I am a little flower in the God's garden. He waters the plant so that the roots are strong and makes me strong. I spread the frangrance He gave me to make everybody happy around me. When the time comes, I fade, wither and perish.

Me? I am what you call soul. A form which doesn't have a physical form. I am trapped in this cage as long as this can support me. Once the cage is spoiled or broke I leave looking for a new and strong one.

Me? As Hinduism say, Aham Brahmasmi. I am the God. As God cannot be everywhere, he created every one of us to take care of everyone of us along with his creation. I am a representative of God thinking that I should act as God as he put me in charge and gave me so much responsibility.

Me? I am what I am. What I am today is a result of my past experiences in this physical and material world, affect of my relationships, my doings and completely what was and how was my past. My future? It will be what I am today.

Me? I am just going through God's supernatural favour (as one of my friends say)

Me? I am still thinking . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

My id was developed from five people in my life.
My father, true father, mother and two brothers. From age 1 to 3 your subconscious is making a personality for you. After 3 you you start the learning phase with other humans.
The world revolves around the mother from 1 to 3 years after that the child will try to make it revolve around themselves. Its up to the parents to teach the child differently.
I was taught correctly in my reality. I keep evil in check, this makes me a rational and kind human.

I am:

An incidental byproduct, considered a toy for a while , then abandoned , in constant search for roots.

That is what i am.

( incidentally , after a successful career spanning many years , I look back and many times compare myself to be the monkey , that performs in front of street crowd, at the command of a monkey trainer and for a small piece of banana!)

When you define something, you are cutting it out from the rest of things, making it finite and limited. Language is very bad when it comes to this because it isn't always specific, and doesn't always lend itself to flexibility. I do not define myself. I just am.

How can we define ourselves! C.S. Lewis wrote that we can only truly evaluate something from the outside--beyond the actual effects of it, whether it be humanity or the individual.

Who am I?....What am I?

Music
Obscure
Different?
Secure
Motivated
Lazy
Twisted
Honest

Caring
Emotionless
Dating
On the Fritz
On the couch
In the mix

there was a comment made on the TV show HOUSE last night- a rape victim said "life is a series of rooms and who is in those rooms with you" (something like that) - It made a lot of sense to me. sometimes there is no one in our rooms and that is when life seems darkest. i dont define myself- i try not to- i want to keep adding to my list and i want others to add to it, the good and the bad. depending on which room im in and who im in the room with defines me at that moment- but that is never everything that i am.

it's an endless list really...... what makes me is everything i lived through, everything i owned, everything i have said, every moment of my life...... Little things can be very significant. they shape the person...... So my list would never end by explaining all the things that makes me the person i am.
