He was an important member of the continenatl congress and signed the decleration of independance. He was one o fthe main advocates of american indepance before the war. Grew up in Massachetes. His son became president of the united states.

John Adams grew up in massachusetts. his father was a farmer and a deacon. he was an instrumental player in the american revolution. he spent several years in europe as the minister to different countries like France, England, and Holland. after coming back to America he was elected vice president for two terms under George Washington. he later became President for one term. When he ran for his second term he lost to his vice president Thomas Jefferson. That was the only time in American histoey that a president and vice president ran against each other. his son john quincy adams later became president. he died on the fourth of july.
