Al Franken may be doing the least stupid thing in his life by proposing himself in Minnesota for the US Senate. After all, Air America (a.k.a. "Hot Air America") is done, kaput, finished. Rather like Franken himself, in fact.

But in Minnesota ... and probably only in Minnesota (which is my home, by the way) ... Fat Al the Spewer of Poor Jokes and Hatred actually has a chance of winning. Yes, Minnesotans are capable of electing this freak.

It makes for an interesting experiment. If Franken is adopted by Minnesota's Dems ...

and if he wins ...

look for Michael Moore to appear on Michigan's slate, and ...

look for Hanoi Jane to make a run in California, and ...

Hillary will have the perfect stand-in for her Senate seat while she's on her White House trek ...

Who? Why, Streisand of course.

No, besides the reality that Franken is a scumbag, there have been a lot worse elections. seems at Chicago, manhattan and Boston election historic past. i'm particular some stupid douche will say Bush & Florida however the recounts proved that Bush won. that's why the media dropped the area whilst the document got here out.

I see nothing wrong with Al Franken running for the Senate. Minnesota has an affinity for celebrities running.

Well, I can see the outrage coming. I'll wait & see. Jessie, the Body, Sonny Bono, Clint Eastwood, Reagan, & Arnie seem to have done OK.

I don't live in Minnesota , so it matters only a little to me. Hopefully his agenda is close to mine, which would mean one more good vote in the Senate.

I'm sure it will be the most boring part of his political career, This stepping stone will only bring him closer to what we really want to see him do,control the senate. Go Al!

I believe Franken's career as a comedian is about over because everyone's stopped laughing! He's looking for something part time as he enters his twilight years.

HE looks creepy just like the Newsweek reporter that falsely said the Koran was flushed down the toilet.

They both look alike. Creepy looking bastards. Why are all liberals so creepy looking?

I don't live in Minnesota, but I see nothing wrong with it.
As an aside, Air America is not going anywhere.
