dont get me wrong!! i hate valentines day , i just wanted to know why other ppl hate it just like me!...answer this question please!

It's a made-up excuse to send cards.
Commercialism thinly disguised as sentiment.

For me, it's the sickly sweet commercialism.
Closely followed by the guys who obviously have far too much money (or a need to compensate for a lack of something else...) who send their girlfriends a dozen red roses on the hour, every hour.
It's great, if you're a florist, it's an absolute pain in the proverbial if you're a courier.
I figure Valentine's (sorry, St.Hallmark's) day is like Santa and the easter bunny. A cute notion.
Let someone else believe in it.

My personal view:
Valentines day has been too commercialize, It is a day that retailer earn the most $$$ only. If couples are really love each other, isn't everyday is a Valentines day which can be round the year for 365 days. What so special on this particular day 14 Feb?

Most people hate Valentine's day because:
a) They have no one special with which to share it.
b) They don't want to spend money on someone (a miser).
c) They are fed up with the commercialism surrounding so many holidays.
