The Bears defense is better but if the Ravens defense gave up 15 points (even if all of them were field goals) to the Colts, there's no way the Bears D is gonna hold them under 20 points.

Definitely the Bears. The Colts Defense played well in the first two games of the postseason, but their defense was getting lit up by the Patriots until the Colts wore out the Patriots defense in two back to back long drives at the end of the first half and beginning of the second.
The Bears are where they are BECAUSE of their defense and special teams. The Colts are where they are because of their offense.

The BEARS defense is better (AND IS NOT OVERRATED). No one ever said they are the best of all time - they are just a very good defense. And of course, the Colts have the better offense.

The Bears D is way better, but I do have to agree that they are a bit overrated. Indy has gotten to the Super Bowl with their O and the Bears got there with their D. This will be a good game but I have to say the Colts will win cuz Grossman will choke. Sorry Chi-town.

The Colts played, defensively, over their heads for a couple of playoff games.
The Bears were, consistently, a better defensive unit through out the season (they did falter a couple of times, but no where near the holes in this defence as the Colts).
So...the better defence lives in Chicago

Its hard to say... I haven't seen the Colts defense show up this year to tell if they are any good or not. Obviously the Bears D is better, but is it good enough to stop Peyton Manning... That is the real question.

the bears. the colts have ALOT of small and very fast players. the thing is that the bears have bigger stronger people AND they are fast too. very rare for that to happen.
Oh and to DeadMan Walking...the Colts run a overrated Cover 2 also. they do not have the proper personnel to run a proper Cover 2 yet when they do cover 3's or Flat zones, their "cover 2" intelligence is given the credit
