My wife and I started with the fancy stores but quickly found that our daughter was just as happy (if not more) with some of the older toys that we found at garage sales and kids resale stores. At first I felt a little... embarrassed by getting something from there but she loves the stuff. Just make sure it is clean and safe. If you have a question about it, check out the manufactures web site for recalls or other info. Common sense goes a long way.

If you aren't opposed to used I would try SWAPBABYGOODS.COM or e-Bay.

Otherwise, as much as I hate the place, Walmart is your best bet for low prices. Watch the Sunday ads and you can get some good deals at a variety of stores.

Pooh is always popular and there's lots of it out there. I am sure you can get some good deals.

Check your phone book for consignment stores. There are so many out there just for babies and toddlers. The stuff is usually in great condition and much less than brand new in price. Plus, lots of the older stuff like Pooh and Baby Mickey.

Walmart and Target usually have a good selection

You can also find good deals at Etoys.com

Also, check consignment shops in your area, your local Craigslist and check on Ebay. You may be getting used toys, but we all know kids only play with them 5 times before they move on.

See if you have a store called Once Upon A Child around you. That store is like a high class thrift store but they only take toys that are in good new like shape that has all the bits and Pisces to the toy.

Yup, target. Lots of pooh and classic pooh: toys, clothes, bedding, books, curtains - all for very reasonable prices. There is even a pooh pack-n-play that i would love to have!
