My teacher assigned me an assignment to write poetry in ABC Format.

Ex:
A fly landed on my
Book, threatening to
Crawl and spread its
Disease ridden
Excrement on it.
F...
G...

And so on until Z. For those of you who have done it, can you put a period in midsentence?

Ex.
A fly landed on my
Book. It began to
Crawl...

The period after book. Is that allowed? I could ask my teacher tomorrow, but I want to finish it today. Thanks.

Thanks a lot Angela. I love poetry too! I'm in eighth grade and the boys aren't so hot about it. >_<

You can put punctuation anywhere in a line that it is needed. The only rule to the form is that each line begin with a subsequent letter of the alphabet.

It all depends on your teacher's stlye
My teacher doesn't allow this because each line is supposed to be an own idea on its own
Hope you do well
