Obvious question here is... is the workstation and the server working with the same equipment? Are the settings set in the system bios? How much stuff is loaded on the workstation during bootup... lots of questions... need more data LOL

OK from what I can understand. You have a server and a workstation...

Some basic questions
1) What is the speed of the network, can it be upgraded

2) Are other workstations on this network
a) Are they all connected by a HUB or a SWITCH
b) Do any of the other workstations have this problems
Other connections to the Server may/will slow down your connection to the server.

3) IF the server is a P4 w/ 1GB Ram, what does the Workstation have...can the workstation be upgraded..more Ram?

4) Has there been any disk maintenace done on the server.
(CHKDSK, CLeanDisk, Defrag) This helps get the files out of the server.

5) Has there been any disk maint. done of the workstation.
Have you increased your pagefile (virtual ram) size.
Since the application is being stored in your Ram/Virtual RAM, you may not have enought space devoted for this so the workstation will have to constently download files to replce file deleated to make room for other processes.

Anywho...hope this gives you something to think about and helps
