Notice that 115/7 is about 16.429. This means the 115 is 16*7 plus a remainder. 16*7 is 112, so 115 = 112 + 3. But 112 is just a multiple of 7, so the day of the week 115 days from now will be the same day of the week 3 days from now.
So if we want to know the day of the week of the 115th day of the year, we just add 3 to the day of the week for January 1st. Lef F be the day of the week for January 1st (0 = Sunday, 1 = Monday, etc.). Then the 115th day of the week is and the week of the given is (F+3)mod 7. Mod 7 means "divide the value by 7 and take the remainder". This will give us back a number that's aways in between 0 and 6.
For example, since 2007 started on a Monday, the 115th day this year will be (1+3)mod 7 = (4)mod 7 = 4, meaning a Thursday.
2005 started on a Saturday, so that year the 115th day was (6+3)mod 7 = 9 mod 7 = 2, or a Wednesday.

115 days =16 weeks & 3 days. The 115th day will be 2 days of the week later than the start, if you start from a wed, the 115th will be a fri.
