No. The president is a public servant--not our ruler. Even if the current occupant of the White House can't get that fact through his thick skull.

No, a President should not lie to the American people. We elect people that we feel will be honest with us. Very few Presidents have been completely honest with us. They have all lied to us at times. They are not afraid that we can't handle the truth, they are afraid that we would understand all too well & wouldn't handle that very well!

Never.
Our democracy is fragile, that is why the founding fathers put checks and balances in the Constitution.
The fourth leg of our democracy is an open press to expose the lies and empower the citizens with the knowledge that only a transparent government can have.
Evidently, for even an insignificant lie can get a president impeached.

one ingredient that makes me smile approximately individuals,. is the way they Idolise human beings, turning them into God like symbols and hero's that are going to maintain you all. i could have been pleased with who ever grew to become into president as long as they had stable intentions in assessment to bush. that's large that the united states of a have a nil.5 black president, optimistically it is going to end the african-american inhabitants speaking touching directly to the previous a lot and get them to seem to the destiny and be advantageous and much less transfixed on their race as they have been, possibly the days of the 'black rapper thug' is over and quite those human beings will replace into to blame adults who want to do stable quite than undesirable and stick to different black only time will tell whether Obama would be a physically powerful president. i'm hoping Obama quite does create 'replace' he feels like a physically powerful guy.

Absolutely not! They all lie like dogs, but they have absolutely no right to decide for the people what truths we can or cannot handle!!!!! They tend to forget that they are public servants, not the other way around!!!!

YES! THINK ABOUT IT! When our current president tries to tell us we are at war with people who would rather cut our heads off than look at us WHAT DO WE DO! we vote in people who think if we keep a low profile in the world no one will notice us and we will all live happily ever after.

Well that is what ole GW thinks. No, I think our president should be honest with the American people. Most government officials feel we are like a bunch of children who can just handle what they tell us. I would like to think we are more intelligent than that. Oh, I forgot - over 50% of the people thought George Bush would make a fine president.

Nope! That's the whole point of being a president of a democracy. We get all the information, then WE decide what to do.
