I read that on Yahoo a few days ago. Isn't that hilarous.
I thought Bush only caused hurricanes but apparently he causes people to vote for a war they don't believe in.
Go figure

I do appreciate that Hillary Clinton admitted to being wrong in her support of Iraq. Blaming Bush for misleading Congress works to a point, but the reality is that this wasn;t that hard to see coming. I saw it coming 4 years ago....and Hillary Clinton is an awful lot brighter and better educated then I am. I am therefor forced to assume that the Democrats acted in a cowardly manner because of high public opinion polls for Iraq at the time.
I think the Democrats reaped their reward in the 04' elections....had they opposed Iraq in 02' they would have had more moral authority to criticize Iraq in 04'. Bush's accusations of waffleing against Kerry were laregely accurate. The same accusations can be made against Hillary. Again...I do admire Hillary for admitting she made a mistake..which is more than Bush has ever done.....but there is truth to what you are saying. I am not sure I trust Hillary to run the nation given her support of that disastrous policy. In all likelihood I will vote for a Democrat who opposed the Gulf War.

Does anyone remember this?:
Saddam Hussein has spent the better part of this decade, and much of his nation's wealth, not on providing for the Iraqi people, but on developing nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them.
The United Nations weapons inspectors have done a truly remarkable job, finding and destroying more of Iraq's arsenal than was destroyed during the entire gulf war. Now, Saddam Hussein wants to stop them from completing their mission.
I know I speak for everyone in this chamber, Republicans and Democrats, when I say to Saddam Hussein, "You cannot defy the will of the world," and when I say to him, "You have used weapons of mass destruction before; we are determined to deny you the capacity to use them again."
President Bill Clinton
State of the Union Speech
January 27, 1998
Maybe Hillary should throw a little blame Bill's way too. Is this her experience with men?

She never said she was fooled, or anything like that. She did, however, make an equally fatuous claim that is clearly an incorrect statement of the case, or more so, a lie.
She claimed that President Bush "misused" his congressional authority to deal with Saddam Hussein. This is insane. The congress authorized him to remove Saddam from power if he continued to be non compliant with weapons inspectors, which he was. He continued to deny them access to weapon sites even after UN resolution 1441 specifically condemned his regime if they failed to comply. For those Americans who will continue to mindlessly goosestep behind their idiotic leaders, then by all means, believe anything Hillary says. For those who wish to know the truth, instead of these stupid Yahoo answer conspiracy theories, then they can get off their fat asses and learn it. There is an endless sea of information that is factually substantiated and proved to be true.

That's a good point, If you asked me the Demz clearly dropped the ball on that one. They sold out when they could have easily stoop up and opposed that maniac. If you want to be prez, you gotta believe in something, not go with the flow like Hillary did. She won't get my vote, it she got fooled which she certainly did who's to say she won't get fooled again.

Yep, you're right, getting fooled by Bush wasn't bright (its nice to hear a Republican admit that Bush was fooling us)....I remember being horrifed by his reference to the axis of evil and the thought of attacking Iraq but he gradually won me over to the point where I would say "...well if he really has evidence that Hussein is supporting Bin Laden and owns WMD then pehaps we need to disarm him". In retrospect I don't know how he managed this because I never trusted him.
But maybe I also felt deep down that I should trust our chief executive....in fact even know I keep telling myself maybe history will show that there was a benefit to this war. Perhaps one day we will see that Bush deflected the direct attention of Al Quaeda away from the US.
Anyway .. back to Clinton....I think she is the wiser for what has happened, she won't be fooled again.
(Wouldn't it be cool for Bill to be the first president in history to serve sixteen years in the White House.)

If hillary becomes President, we are the fools for electing her. She is too flimsy. That is the problem with many Dem leaders. I am Rep, so I am somewhat biased, but I am in no way blind. There are many politicians that dont care about the war, just the votes, if that means being for the war when it is popular and against the war when it is not. I want a firm leader, not a John Kerry or someone of his nature. No more lies, no more just telling people what they wanna hear so they can get a vote.

She put it in polite language. She, & the rest of Congress was outright lied to. A recent ABC poll found that if the Senators who were there at the time were to vote on it today, Bush would have lost the vote.
I am sure she is savvy enough to doubt the word of most foreign leaders. But it is also reasonable to assume the President is being at least basically honest with his Congress. He wasn't. I doubt she will take his word for anything after that.
And I hope someone else becomes the Democratic nominee.

Bush happened to fool most, if not all of the candidates running in '08. It's not just Hillary. I'm not a Hillary fan, but you shouldn't be one sided with this question.

Bush fooled pretty much the whole counrty, maybe evn himself. We went into Iraq because they supposedy had WMD's; But it turned out that they didn't.
So I guess what Hilary is saying is that Bush fooled her into voting for the war because he said they had WMD's. If he hadn't said that, I doubt she would have voted for the war.
In regard to "how many world leaders will fool her," I don't think any since they won't be feeding her false evidence.
