The Peacemaker.

A carbine is a shorter version of a rifle. The 1911 is a pistol. (granted there are attachments that you can add to a 1911 to make it a carbine, but you have to special order those componants)

I'd suggest just looking at some weapons, like a semiautomatic such as a glock or a ruger, or any rifle. They're easy to draw, and are composed of very geometric shapes. Just make sure you don't make the same mistake as most and put a hotizontal rectangle on top of a vertical one. Pay special attention to the angles of the grip compared to the stock and chamber. If you're drawing an ak47 or an m16, watch how the trigger is actually up inside the main part of the body, and not hanging down below it like a handgun. Just pay attention to proportions between the grip, the stock, the butt, and the muzzle.
