I believe that government should stay out of my life as much as possible. I also believe that people should be responsible for themselves and not rely on the government for everything they do or get. I firmly believe that there is right and wrong, in working hard, rewarding hard work, helping your family and neighbors, teaching your kids manners and morals and that there is value in a good education that doesn't emphasize the socialist view of history, or the feminist views of competition. Finally I don't believe that mediocraty is something to be proud of or strived for.

I guess that makes me a conservative.

Conservative

The problem with questions like these are that "Conservatives" aren't usually that conservative anymore. And liberals tend to not make much more sense.

Neither side gets it right all of the time. But liberals (the not completely crazy ones) usually acknowledge that there are things that can be improved upon in this country and are willing to work to change the status quo in a hopefully better direction. Conservatives usually see things as fine the way they are and we must fight to preserve the status quo. Because I generally believe in progressing forward with civilization and not allowing it to stagnate, I consider myself liberal...but remain wary of politicians who claim to be the same.

I believe that people should plan on working for everything they get in life. That if you take something from someone else that you haven't earned or is not freely given then it is wrong! I believe that everyone was created equal and are endowed with certain rights, among them LIFE LIBERTY an the pursuit of Happiness at the time they are created not when they emerge from the womb. That is why I am a Patriot. A conservative with a social conscience.

Moderate, borderline liberal with a hint of conservative.

I believe that homosexuals should be allowed to perform in the military. I am a veteran and my best friend (male) was gay ,but got out because of his homosexuality and didn't want to get in trouble. He was the best troop I've ever worked with; as a matter of fact, I would've gone to war with him at any time. I don't believe sexual preferences determine job performance. I mean, there's a lot of nasty straight people that sleep with just about anything out there..........that's nastier than anything else.

I believe in equal rights, to the extent that is equal for everyone.....whites included. And by the way, I'm half Puerto Rican, half black......not a drop of white in me. I think that equality starts in the house.....without separating our "group" from anybody else.

I believe that tattoes and piercings are a beautiful self-expression. God gave us these bodies so....let's decorate!

Poligamy? Depends on your culture. I do not condone this if it is the way you've been raised. Our Indian People (American Indians) had this as part of their culture. They were happy, but the Europeans decided to change them......and it happened. Still, if its part of what defines you...then be merry!

Rules? Touchy subject. We all know that rules, regulations, and laws are broken and twisted on a daily basis. An open mind would help, but then again.....what defines that open mind?

I believe in speaking my mind. Got few friends just because of that. I also expect others to express their opinions and thoughts without hesitation. My true friends have hurt me before...because they told me a truth that I didn't want to hear. Still, they were truthful. If it bothers me, I will tell you. However, I am non-confrontational because that leads to nothing. Speaking can actually make people understand each other. They might not agree, but at least they can speak.

However, I hate hearing about child abuse, racism, violation of human rights, compulsive liars, etc etc etc. I truly believe this is the dirt that is staining our world.

Honestly, I don't know.

Conservatives just want to cut taxes on the rich and the corporations, and I am against that. They say to let the free market rule, but the free market works against the middle class in the US and gives more "freedom" to foreign countries as far as trade.

I like the liberal idea of personal freedom, but then they turn around and want to eliminate the borders of the US in the name of "freedom".

Seems like there needs to be a new constituency: Common sense.

Proud liberal. Because I believe in an America that still stands on the words "for liberty and justice for all"; and because I believe hate breeds hate, and exclusion breeds division;. Because I won't be intimidated by those that would divide us by fear and intimidation because that's not what this country was founded on. I believe in complete separation of church and state. So did Jefferson. I believe that I should love my neighbor and judge not, lest ye be judged. So did Jesus. I believe in taking a stand based on fact and truth, not propoganda and lies. And there wasn't a single forefather that could have been mistaken for what the GOP has turned into today.

Im a moderate.
Im against abortion. yes, even in cases of rape. Theres a morning after pill for that PREVENTS conception,if the pill is taken "too late" the baby will be unharmed.

Im NOT oppposed to gay marriage

Im for the death penalty (under certain circumstances, not all).
I believe welfare is too eagerly handed out. I feel some people honestly deserve the extra help. Those who bust their butts, spend all their money on their families and bills, deserve help where they lack. These people tend to get denied, however, because "They make too much". Then, if you sit on your butt, the government will pay your bills, insurance, housing, child care.....
These are just some of my points.

I'm an Independent, because I realize both parties lie to get your vote. I vote the person, not the party. My stance is this, do for America first and foremost.
