I asked Pittsburgh Fans if the Pens leave and they wouldn't like it if they did as for you in Kansas city who lost the NBA's Kings to Sacremento in 1985, Baseball's A's to Oakland in 1968, and the NHL's Scouts in 1976 now the New Jersey Devils, but you guys held on to NFL's Chiefs, MLS' Wizards, and MLB's Royals all have One Championship Each.
Now the Penguins Could be the Mean Tenant at the New Sprint Center set to open this October will you welcome Lemieux with open Arms or are you going to say go home to Pittsburgh, Please Pick One.

Is it definitely a done deal that the Pens are leaving? I'd hate to see that. I guess KC is as good a choice as any.

Pittsburgh is an Excellent sports city.. but an ok hockey city.. not a great one as everyone says..

Where were all these 'loyal fans' before Crosby.. what if Pittsburgh never won the draft lottery.. would the Pens still receive the same love? Would then attendance hit record lows in Pittsburgh?

I think its wrong that people are basing their opinions around Crosby. What will happen in 10-15 years after Crosby.. will the Pens have to go through this again? They went through this before.. two years before they drafted Mario Lemieux.

No, because Pittsburgh is a great sports city and deserves not to lose a team over stupidity. They have the fan support.

Tell KC to get the Cats or Thrashers.

By the way, you do not measure a city sports success by championships. The Celtics won championship after championship and still did not sell out Boston Garden until the Bird era.

Pittsburgh is going to do everything possible to keep their team since they are probably going to a premiere team over the next decade after being the bottom feeders of the league for the past few years. I believe that they will end up staying due to increased attendance and the hockey history they have there. KC might however get an expansion team in the next few years due to their new, excellent arena.

The Penguins will stay in Pennsylvania.

At least there will be one winning hockey team in this state.
