I have a Jackson's Chameleon, about 8 months old or so, very hearty, usually eats 3 crickets every other day, everything in the cage is the same, heat, humidity, water supply, everything, but he has not eaten in three days. what should i do, only answer if you truely have an idea other than take it to a vet. he isnt sluggish or anything, he seems normal. (not impacted, because paper towels are used as substrate and i watch him eat all of his meal.

The other answers are wrong. Your chameleon is tired of cricke5ts and wants maybe a worm. he needs more choice in his food he gets bored of the same food. they need more food then just crickets they need diffrent types of worms and flys.Try this and you will see him eat again.

Many lizards eat less as they get older, for example, iguanas eat everyday when they are babies but once every 4th day as adaults. It may just be getting older, or sometimes repriles just stop eating for a few days and go to it again later, if its just been three days i wouldn't worry if this goes on for over a week then you should worry. If he still isn't eating in a week got to the pet store and get Nature Zone Appetite Plus, it is a vitamin solution that stimulates apitite, it works great and should get him to start eating

He may just be getting ready to shed. Some reptiles will not eat when they are going through this process. And just because he may have eaten during it in the past does not necessarily mean that's not the reason hes not now. I would just watch him carefully and if he starts showing any other symptoms of decline then take him to a vet.
