I watched every episode, and he is my favorite from the beginning. I love him!! but did i miss something? why does everyone hate him????
I hope he wins tonight!

I didn't care for him, because I didn't like his personality. He's arrogant and just didn't come across as very nice. I figure it must be worse in person, because people got soooo angry with him - it was amazing.
I thought Sam got robbed. He should be the winner.

In my opinion, he's arrogant, manipulative, and just not a good person to represent the winner of Top Chef. I think he's a jerk, he cannot run a kitchen because no one respects him, he has been unkind to all of the other contestants, etc..... Like I said, just my opinion, but really, I thought Sam should have been in the final two.
Let me say one thing though, the whole thing with Cliff and Marcel, where there was a wrestling match to shave his head, that sucked too. Can't wait to watch tonight, hope it's not Marcel, with all due respect. :)

i could not care a lot less now about the finale educate.......there is not any way that Marcel is better effective than Sam.....Padma even knew it, Tom is getting too massive for his britches and the nutrition and Wine chick purely says what each body else says....i imagine Sam grow to be better effective than Ilan yet i'm hoping that when I hear about it next week (because I gained't watch it) that Ilan gained and not in any respect Marcel.

It's not that I hate Marcel, but there's just that air of arrogance because he knows "molecular gastronomy" and puts xanthum gum in sauces. C'mon. Just cook like a real chef. Keep it food. He's just...annoying.
Personally, I think he might win. Just because he's got that underdog thing going for him.
And this is no reason to hate him, but his hair! What is up with that vampire look? Creepy!

He threw Franks stuff on the floor.
He took Elia's pan off the burner.
He turned down Elan's burner.
He bogarted Sam's burner.
Add to that his mouth with Betty and the fact that he was antisocial for the most of the game and concieted for all of the game.
I don't know what you missed.
The Ace Ventura hairdo alone was enough to turn some people off.
And he was the one who cheated with the olive oil at the diet camp. Sam just did not say it was him.

because he is so arrogant and really not all that talented, but the main reason i don't like him is because from the start he's the only one who refuses to be a team player and refuses to help others when everyone else helps each other
