It's a big decision that will affect the rest of your life. I know women who had done it and regret it greatly. Other that wanted to do and didn't and the child she has is the only one she could have, needless to say she's so happy she changed her mind.
A person just wrote it's not murder because it's not the same as killing someone on the street, that it would not survive outside your wound.... that might just make us wonder how easy is to take the life of a fetus which of course can't defend him/herself because the only one that can defend it is you.
If a fetus is not a person just look at some 3d videos, and look at those fetus faces.
A woman's right should start preventing pregnancy. I just think it's so sad that the person who's protecting the beginning of a life is the same one that destroy it.

I think it should be a choice available to people. No one has a right to tell people what to do. If it is a wrong thing to do then that should be between a higher power and that person. If we as a society ban abortion then people will go to substandard doctors for their services and have the procedure using inappropriate equipment and uncertified doctors.
Some people that I know who have been abused/treated coldy as children because their parents didn't want them say that it effects them still today. Those parents should have, at the very least, considered adoption.
I am all for Plan B. I do not consider it as an abortion (some would because conception might have taken place) I think that when it became an over-the-counter drug in the U.S. was the best thing that could possibly happen to rape victims besides not getting raped. It gave even rape victims a choice other than having the baby or abortion/adoption.
I would just like to say that I have worked for a pregnancy counseling hotline and I quit there because our new manager wanted us to practically scare the poor women into not getting an abortion. I believe people should have the facts: no, an abortion of a fetus that is pretty far along isn't glamorous, but if you have your reasons then you should make your decision based on what you can live with. Hasty decisions are made when there is too much emotion-and people most often regret them. Get the facts and make a decision that works for you and not for anyone else.

I am a Christian and I am totally against abortion as a means of birth control. However, there are certain cases where abortion is the lesser of two evils. After my third, very difficult, pregnancy I was advised not to have any more children as it would be very dangerous for my health. I took precautions by having a coil inserted but, in spite of this, I did get pregnant and had to have the pregnancy terminated because I was very ill indeed (my blood pressure was so high it was just about off the scale). The doctors told me that I had no choice - if I did not have the termination I would die. So it was a matter of save my life or let both of us die. I had three other children and did not want to leave them motherless. I was about 12 - 14 weeks gone when I had the termination and I have always wondered whether it was a boy or a girl. There was no counselling 30 years ago so I just had to get on with it although I suffered from panic attacks, depression and anxiety for years afterwards. My heart was damaged and I have been on treatment for hypertension ever since so I consider myself very fortunate to be still alive all these years later. If I had the choice I would not have had a termination but I think in cases where the mother will die if the pregnancy continues then there is no choice. I did not want to have the termination but I am glad that I was able to see my other children grow up, get married and have children of their own but I still think of the baby that I lost.

i belive in some cases its totally necessary, though it is not a form of birthcontrol, abortions are quite alright. it takes traveling throught the birth canal prior to a fetus having a soul and without a utrus a fetus would die! so murder is aside the point its not possible! in the cases or rape or unplanned under age pregnancys abortion should be a manditory. out population is getting so out of control by every 13 year old girl having a baby there should be a requirement to bearing children. and in the cases where family are having 6 or 8 children there needs to be limit on the amount of kids 1 family CANT support.. and lets not forget about medical cases where the fetus is damaged or may not make it through birth is it right to ridicule a woman for sparing her body aganoy , NO! it it right to say a woman is a murder is she aborts a fetus that could very well kill her? NO.. look at alll the facts sister and you make your own choice, good luck

I will never have unprotected sex unless I want to have the child. Plus, my mother is a strict christian who divorced my father after he came out of t he closet. I personally, am anti abortion. I have had sex once, but realized it was a mistake. Because there is a high chance of pregnancy and at my age of being 17, I don't want that responsiblility Until my job and my relationships are stable. I don't want to kill an innocent child, for MY mistakes, MY choices, MY bad decisions. So therefore, I'M not risking that challenge to become a BABY MURDERER.

If abortion isn't murder, then why does someone that kills a pregnant woman get charged with 2 counts of murder or manslaughter?? The law keeps flip flopping around....It is a child and it should not be aborted and I feel God will look down on someone that kills whether it be an adult or fetus who gets killed.

I really don't believe it's murder, this is a undeveloped fetus incapable of life outside the uterus, so I don't see how this is even similar to killing someone on the street. I do believe that it can be used as a birth control methods by young people. There are so many methods of birth control that abortion should't be as prevalent as it is. But, still, God certainly will not look down on anyone who has an abortion.

Hey sister, if you really dont want it, get the Dr to scrape that little bastard right out of you. I hear they even give you cookies and juice afterwards. And go right back to humping away, beacause after enough abortions, you cant concieve anymore. Which would be the perfect answer to an idiot who go on a website like this for abortion answers. Dont pollute our gene pool, and please, have the abortion.

i think it is up to the woman but it pisses me off when some dumb broad gets pregnant and then wants to have an abortion just cuz she aint ready to have a baby. those kind of girls should think about htat stuff before they start having sex with anyone without protection. but like if its because the mother cant carry a child without her health failing then its okay
