#1. Tylenol every 4 hours. It's important to keep your fever under 102. Prolonged temps over 102 can cause problems with the baby.

#2. Oral IV. This means sips of water, about 1-2 tsp. every hour. This will help keep you hydrated, even if you can't hold anything down. When you can tolerate a little more, start drinking what you can. Try gatorade.

#3. Be on the look out for contractions. When you are dehydrated, your uterus can get irritable and start contracting. If you start having uncomfortable cramping, you may need to go to the hospital for a labor check (assuming you're over 24 weeks).

#4. Notify your doctor. He/She may be able to get your a prescription for an anti-emetic (to keep you from throwing up so much) and offer suggestions on how else to help you feel better.

Call your doctor right away! i was in the hospital xmas day with a fever that ended up going to 102.2 and my doctor wanted me in there ASAP at the hospital. i couldnt keep anything down either, not even an ice cube, it was horrible.. but i went in and found that i was very dehydrated and whether or not i could feel em, i was having up to 8 contractions in 30 minutes. they gave me 3 shots of brethane to mature the babys lungs and try to calm down my contractions.

call the doctor and see what he/she wants to do. but its not good to have a fever like that and be throwing up while pregnant. take my advice. Also they kept me over night just to monitor me, if you go in, they may or maynot do that to you too.. but good luck to you and please take my advice.
