Do a system restore on Windows. Set your settings back to a few days prior to when you installed IE 7. I know, because I did this as well. Click on the Start Menu and then Help.

You don't need to use system restore. Simply go to to control panel, and then go to add/remove programs. Scroll through until you find internet explorer 7, then click it, and hit the remove button. You will need to restart your computer, after which it will copy back over the internet explorer 6 files, and you will be able to again browse the internet with ie 6!

You can try going to Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel. You should be able to go back to the old version that way. Note that IE7 might be listed under Windows Components.
