Im just curious about how other families organize their meals.
We take a vote from the night before to plan ours. Is this weird?

LOL THAT SOUNDS FUN

SOME TIMES AT NIGHT WHEN ALL OF US GET TOGETHER FOR DINNER, THEY GIVE ME OPINIONS WHAT TO DO FOR THE NEXT DAY AMONG THE OTHER THINGS WE TALK ABOUT.

BUT FRIDAYS IS OFF FOR THE COOK. NO COOKING IN THE KITCHEN. SO WE GET ANYTHING ANYONE WANTS.

BUT IS FUN, BECAUSE I USE TO THINK AND COOK WITH OUT HAVING SOME ONE TELL ME WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE FOR DINNER. SO NOW IS MORE FUN. AND YES WE ALSO VOTE. IS A NICE WAY TO SIT AND HAVE DINNER AND TALK ABOUT TONS OF THINGS.

SATURDAYS IS GAME NIGHT SO WE CAN MAKE ANYTHING QUICK IN THE KITCHEN AND PLAY ANY GAMES. I DONT KNOW ANYONE ELSE BUT WE ALL LOVE IT. IS LIKE GETTING TO KNOW YOUR OWN FAMILY. IS REALLY INTERESTING.

Makes enough for the whole family. SPINACH CANNELLONI 500g cottage cheese 500g ricotta cheese 1 box frozen spinach 2-3 eggs 1 ½ - 2 c. shredded Italian cheese ¼ - ½ c. parmesan cheese 1 – 2 tsp. garlic salt 28 – 30 pieces oven ready cannelloni shells 1 jar tomato sauce Combine ingredients and pipe into cannelloni shells. Put a layer of sauce on the bottom of a baking dish and layer the shells on top. Cover with sauce. Bake at 300-325 ºF for 1hr. Top with extra cheese and bake until cheese is melted.

Not weird at all - this seems to be a universal problem for most of us. I set a one month "menu" and usually rotate it so that no one can say "again?" or "I'm not hungry", and if they do, they'd have to set the "menu" for the next month, which I'd modify per the family's needs/taste

I think that's great. My kids are grown with families of their own but I usually just fixed whatever I chose and they ate it. Sometimes they would make a request but usually not. Does your family all participate in the preparation too? What a great family you must have.
