I am 42 and have been dating a 34 yo female on and off for a couple of years. She always wanted to get married. I didn't. She left. This last time we were acting like a family with her 6 yo. We celebrated xmas with all. She now says she wants to date others. I told her I wanted us to get married...it didn't matter.
At hurts, how of should I call her and should I still tell her I lover her. Will she change her mind again and want me back?

I have been in her shoes. I wonder if you have broken up for similar reasons in the past. I think that she is probably thinking that you will not change. She probably also thinks that you are just saying that you want to marry her because she said that she wants to date other people. My ex did the same thing. He only wanted to get back with me when I started dating other people. If you are jealous, then leave her alone. How come you want to marry her all of a sudden? You really need to think about why you did not want to get married before and think are you really ready before you start telling this to her. If you conclude that you are really ready to marry her, then you should let her know that you are serious by proposing to her. You better have a ring too. Getting an engagement ring shows someone that you are really serious. This is serious, so think carefully about it. Good Luck!

Give it time. Dont pressure her. If you put pressure, she will pull farther away from you. If she loves you, she will let you know. If she doesnt let you know, then you need to let her go.
Give her a little space and in a couple weeks, call her for some reason other than to talk about your feelings. If it turns around that thats where your conversation leads, then roll with it. But dont push it.
Good luck.

Well, when she wanted it you didn't so part of her might have given up. The best thing would be to back off for about 6 months and let both of you breathe...then agree to resume contact and see where you want to go. Good luck.

women break up with men because they don't want to be with them or because something must change for them to continue the relationship with their partner, sometimes other reasons too. it sound like she might have left because you didn't want to marry her. i think if you call her and tell her you still have feelings she might want you back and explain to her your sorry you didn't want to marry when she did. maybe she really does want to date others, i don't know, but it sounds like there might still be a chance. do something romantic or something, do something for her you would never normally do and tell her then. i hope things work out for you.

No one ever misses the well until it runs dry.
YOu had your shot and you blew it.
Try calling her and see how she is doing.
If she is seeing someone else, let her be happy, I doubt that she will change her mind but at least if you ask her you wont regret no doing so

She wants to date others. You want to participate in that?

depends...women get attached to what means the most to them. If you provided most of what she needed, she can possibly come back, if you didn't she may move on.
