I would like something they both would be able to do. Any Ideas?

Go to a garage sale and buy a cheap but sturdy chair or end table. Let them paint it.
Make cards.
Draw pictures. Scan the best, most colorful ones, and put the image on iron-on transfer sheets to put on t-shirts or for pillows.
Make picture frames out of popsicle sticks (or craft sticks) they've painted. Attach a string (twine) or magnet to the back.
Trace around their hands and bare feet - frame and give to mom and dad.

mix flour and water instant play-do
color table salt with chalk (pour salt on plate and color) instant art work or put in glass jars to make pretty designs
shave crayons to glue to paper
glue colored Popsicle sticks together to make gifts
print coloring pages from the Internet let them color and make books out of them
make photo collages or a scrap book
start a collection of something you find out side and continue it all summer long such as leaves or small rocks

you can paint with them, make plato yes make it and then use cookie cuter shapes to shape them and they can paint it. Thats what i do with my 5 and 4 year old neice and nephew. They make the plato and then they paint and they make a piece for everyone in the family. You can have them make cards for there mom's just because there is a lot if you want more email me because i have this giant book on what to do with kids indoors and outdoors
