I just recently had surgery and my mom is having to help me for right now but my brother and sisters have been talking about me and her behind our backs. My stepdad is very resentful of me and my husband and I are getting a divorce. I just don't understand why everything is coming down on me at once. I am a decent Christian woman that tries to help my family at different times but now that I am down, they don't want anything to do with me.

What was the surgery for?
Maybe that will shed more light on this.

This may come from a long petty resentment for attention. You are getting your mothers help and affection and the spotlight while they have to be in the back ground. Look forward and not backward. Smile at them and treat them just as good or better then yourself. When the divorce is final and your husband has a new girlfriend or wife. Smile at her and greet her with open hands and treat her nicely. This may hurt you, but they will wonder and that is the best of getting back by treating everyone nice..........As for the siblings ignore their petty selfishness and walk forward with open hands. Forgive them..

If talking to them doesn't help...kill them with kindness and they will come around. I am sure they don;t hate you...and is there any chance you are reading too much into any of this...for example how do you know they are talking about you behind your back?...who has been telling you that? Sounds like you have a lot going on with the surgery, divorce...out the squabbling and worry about teh family on teh ack burner and take care of yourself first...chances are with al you have going on you are probably a bit more emotional (rightly so!) than normally. Good luck!

Your not alone. I am always getting all the hard balls at once. I believe that it's only making you stronger. ( I know it doesn't feel that way) One thing that ALWAYS makes me feel better is tolook at your life and remember all the hard times when you thought you were never going to feel better or felt you'd never get over it ( you at all the hard balls you'd recieved. And just know that this is something that will go away in time and the people putting you down will get there's.What goes around comes around.
