Just because you are on the same connection does not mean he can look into your account easily, as long as you don't "save" your passwords on your system (unless he has some type of keylogger or VNC program installed on your system) you shouldn't worry to much since usually everything that goes to and from your banking server is encypted with military grade encryption.

Having said that, the only safe way, is to never use online banking, anything can be hacked and anything can be cracked with enough knowledge. If your that concerned don't use online banking, although its a small risk, there will ALWAYS be a risk there.

You "REALLY" need to know what and how to run wireless. If you can get it, (it's in the air waves), I can get it. I would be careful sharing anything with anyone too. Personally I wouldn't trust them, I don't care how well you know them. That's called a Open Gateway and if there is an opening someone will find it. Harm can come through them because they may share it with someone else. There is information on your PC that could allow someone that knows "how-to" to get it and get into your account!
It's just too dangerous!!!!
I Would Not Recommend It!!!!!!!

At least WE tired answered (help) the question and didn't merely receive points by leaving your childish post. I don't even consider it a reply, it was a post for your points!

Unless the stranger is a pro hacker you are pretty safe. Just make sure your bank has SSL running (an https address, and the lock shows up in the browser), then the entire link is encrypted above and beyond the secure wireless.

I would avoid using a wireless connection for any such transactions or anything else that you regard as private. Unless you really know what you're doing (or know your neighbor), there are too many ways to set up a home wireless connection that would be considered insecure. You should use a cabled connection instead.
