In Nov. my sister-in-law had a b-day party for my daughter and invited her nieghbor and her kids. Her neighbor called during the party and said to wait for her cuz she was on her way. After 45 mins the neighbor came over and said nevermind my kids don't want to come. I let that go. On Christmas my family went to my sister-in-laws house and the neighbor came over and when I said Merry Christmas to her she said whatever and pushed me out of the way. Well out of respest for my sister-in law I didn't do anything, but now my sister-in-law is having a birthday party for my niece. She told me it was just a small family thing. The next day she told me that she invited her nieghbor. I don't want to go. I don't think I can be nice to her at all. I can't stand her. My sister-in law knows and said she had to invite her cuz it's her neighbor. What should I do?

I don't think that the woman being her neighbor should make her more important than you, a family member. I think you should explain to your sister-in-law that you won't be attending family functions if the neighbor will be there. Visit your niece the day before and let her know that you won't be at the party.

And consider having parties at your house from now on!

Lighten up, if you had to avoid all the people in this world who were rude at one time or another you would not have the opportunity to interact with anybody. Here is an idea, since you think the neighbor is so rude, you can go to the party and feel superior to the neighbor during the whole affair, that should be an ego booster for you.

Neighbor is a neighbor. Your Sister-in Law is family and if this happens again just tell her straight out learn how to act. And if she starts **** just leave and if your sister-in Law has any clue she will tell her friend to leave and bring you back. If she sticks up for her "neighbor" then she's worse then the neighbor.

you should still go... it is a family thing. it was very nice of your sis-in-law to have a bday party for your daughter, the least you can do is go to the bday party of your niece.

dont let one person ruin your family experience. while your at the party, you can just ignore the neighbor. KEY WORD is IGNORE!
if you cant be nice just pretend she isnt there.

if you let her ruin this one for you... think of how many more family gatherings that you'd miss because the neighbor was invited.

relax, have fun and ignore

Take your Niece a nice birthday gift and You and your family enjoy the Celebration! We and only we can control our actions and thoughts, why let this Woman, ruin a Celebration of your Nieces life? We cannot control others only ourselves, and once you truly believe that, happiness will follow!

Confront that bytch and tell her that you dont like her either but you are tired of her being so disrespectful to you.
Talk to your brother about it and see what his take on the situation is.
I am sure SIL knows a bit more than she is stating.
