A friend of mine said that he wears a bathing suit. I say most men wear swimming trunks.

'Swimming trunks' is just another word for 'bathing suit' and vice versa. The big difference is that women also wear 'bathing suits' and men don't want to be thought of as being 'girly' so they tend to use 'swimming trunks' most often. I'm also 'guessing' that your friend may have a Speedo bikini, which sure doesn't look anything like 'swimming trunks' although it is very 'masculine' and so he uses the term 'bathing suit' and probably as a 'joke' ...

Men wear swim trunks or speedos if they are in competition and women wear bathing suits or swimming suits. Hope this helps..

Only European men wear bathing suits...American guys wear trunks.

No, most men wear trunks or speedos, but I never heard of a bathing suit for men, unless.............

Yo creo que es falso, como tú misma dijiste siempre hay excepciones, y no solamente en esos dos casos... un traje puede hacer ver más formal a cualquier hombre, pero no necesariamente más guapo o atractivo. Hay personas que se pongan lo que se pongan no "cambian" de aspecto... o al menos así lo veo yo. :D

same thing, two different names.....

kinda like in some parts of the country coke and pepsi are referred to generically as "pop" but elsewhere as "soda" and still other places "coke" is used as a generic term....
