I'm 15 and I've basically got a gut but not a huge one. I'm slim but not muscle slim and i want more muscular abs and was wondering whats the best way to get great abs in a short amount of time. The reason why is because i spend most of my time in football and hanging out so i want some kind of workout that can help me out on getting great abs

I don't drink cuase its illegal. IM in football and I can run a 7 min mile while jogging and i like working out but i can never get my abs done its kinda annoying

sorry bout this but i like running its just fun i was the only guy that would laugh or smile when coach said we where doing suicides or snakes or backnforths (the 10 yrds run back 20 yrds run back etc)

Everybody that answered "sit-ups" to this question is absolutely wrong. People naturally obtain a layer of fat over their abs. You can do as many sit-ups as you want to do, and all you'll end up with a a nice set of abs hidden underneath a layer of fat. CARDIO AND DIETING is the only way to get rid of the fat. Once the fat is gone, sit-ups can help increase the size and density of abdominal muscle.

One type of sit up that I've really found great results with strengthens more than just your abs, it strengthens you're whole core! Sit on the floor while you're in the weight room with a 45 pound plate (I'm guessing you lift if you're in football), hold your arms all the way out away from you with the weight in your hands, lean half way back with your legs out straight. While you're leaning back with your arms straight out, holding the weight, twist left, touch the plate to the floor, twist right, touch the plate to the floor. I usually do 5 sets of 20 and you'll see the improvement! I hope this works for you, it does for me.

You're only 15, i had an asian friend who got abs in like a week, but he was really slim. He told me he did sit ups in the morning, after school and before bed. Good Luck getting them abs, but you probably will just build your abs and still have some gut covering them.

The celebrities' trainers say that it's harder than peope think. First you have to do regular exercise to burn the fat over the stomach (and this can't be targeted; fat just melts evenly, or unevenly based on your genes), then you do exercises that target your stomach to tone the muscles that are now visible.
Since you don't have fat over your stomach, you just need to do a ton of sit ups. Britney Spears used to do something crazy like 1000 a day, but that's because it's her *job* to look like that. Do as many as you can every day and you'll tone really well.

I am 15 also and I do 300 crunches, jack knifes, and sit-ups a day
hope this helps
ps i sometimes do the bicycle crunches

ive been told that you can do all of the crunches you want, but your muscle in your abs wont show unless you do some cardio to get the fat off. once that happens, then start working on your abs. hope it helps. =]

situps and running every day, thats how i did it, i got a sixpack in a month just do situps when u wake up till u cant anymore go for a nice run then do some more situps at night.

sit ups and flutter kicks, also laying on your back and working you obliques by touching each of your elbows to the alternate knee. Plus stop drinking so much beer.

The best way to get great abs is different kinds of sit ups. Strate sit ups and side sit ups. Sorry I don't know much.............
