Our basketball team is 18-5 (6-0) in our division in 4A Mississippi. We're basically all white, and not being racist, but do not like the rap that everyone comes out to for warmups in basketball. Our team came out to Welcome Home by Coheed and Cambria the other night and everyone loved it. Anyone know any other songs for warming up in basketball before games. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

"Give It All" by Rise Against

The title should be self-explanatory and the song has a fast time signature (that means it's fast), it has some heavy parts to the lyrics, a strong backing guitar part and it shouldn't be inappropriate for a school setting.

I'd also recommend "Sugar" by System of a Down but some of the parts to that song can tend to be inappopriate, but the first chorus is really loud and really pumping. Just watch out for the end of the song though, they're not exactly afraid about dropping an f-bomb here and there.

And last but certainly not least is the Rocky theme song, "Gonna Fly Now" by Bill Conti. This has to be one of the most recognizable songs of all time and just the hearing of it makes that connection to Rocky going up the library steps after all that hard training and pumping his arms in the air and all that. The only thing is it's a rather over-used song by lots of teams.

'Queen- we will rock you' would always be good. Or you could try some AC/DC, like 'rock and roll aint noise pollution' or 'back in black,' or you could always try Asia, Reo Speedwagon, Led Zepplin, or billy idol, there are a lot of possibilities...
