i disconected the batery for a repair now my radio and navigation and dvd player need a code please help!!

The car did not come with a manual and there is no card or sticker and it is the dvd and navagation system also.

Once you get the code if you're going to try it yourself you have to pull the antenna lead out of the radio or the code will not take. I went through this with my acura. I had to partially disassemble the console. It may simply be a trick to force you back to the dealer and if you cant get at the antenna lead you may have no choice. good luck

contact where the vehicle was purchased. You will need to get 2 codes, one for your radio and another for the navi system. the acura service department should have it on file. If they dont, they will pull your radio and get the serial number then they will be able to get your codes. Also too, check in your glove compartment, they put little stickers in there. That would be your serial number.

If you pull it out yourself and get the serial number, take it to a dealer and they will look up the code for free usually,
did it myself-no cost. First look for a card in manual or decal maybe in glove box/fuse box etc that may have the code. Original dealer that would have sold vehicle new may have it on file and therefore wouldn't need the serial number.

In order to get the code from the dealer, you will need to show id, proof of registration, and any other identifying info they request, since the purpose of a radio code is to prevent thieves from using the stereo unit once it has been stolen. So bringing the unit in by itself, even with the serial # will not be enough.

Usually they stick the little stickers in a few places, check the owners manual, trunk edge, and driver/pass. door edge. If not you will have to take it to acura, some dealers i hear will charge you to give it to you as then need the serial number off the HU it self. hopefuly your nearest dealer is not like that.

easy anwser pull radio find sn# then contact dealer but before you do that look on the sides of your glovebox when i worked for acura we always put the extra sticker with the radio code there.

Just take it to the dealer, and they will figure it out. The code is different for each vehicle, there is not one code that works for everything.
It shouldn't take a dealer more than a few minutes to find your code.
