First put a dot at the y-intercept, (0, 5).

Then, the slope is the RISE over the RUN, right?

3 = 3/1, so starting at (0, 5), count UP 3 squares and RIGHT 1 square, and mark that point. (It should be the point (1, 8).)

Then draw a line between those two points (0, 5) and (1, 8), and you're done.
