I would like to lend a hand and help people with their questions but so many of them are very difficult to understand. I'm frustrated.

I don't blame you. There are questions that I would like to answer too, but I can't understand the grammar because the words are spelled incorrectly. I guess some people are just too lazy to care.

I agree.. (First to post). Your dealing with a very diverse planet.. People from all walks of life, education etc.. Getting frustrated will not help you.. They will continue to spell the same no matter how frustrated we get.. Let it go.. You'll be a lot happier in the long run and they will make an effort to convey their question to millions of readers.

I don't recall spell check being offered in the Question forum. It seems that only the answerer has that option offered to them.

I checked again, and Y!A does NOT give the "Check Spelling" option to the person who is placing the question.

Right now, I have the option for checking my typo's - but you didn't when you placed your question. That is probably why people just quickly jot down their question without any further ado.

America as a whole is becoming lazier and lazier and feel that as long as the person we're talking to understands what we're saying we don't care about the spelling

Society has allowed us to get very lazy with spelling. "Spellcheck" combined with the fact that nobody really thinks it's important anymore makes it a losing battle. I for one am a spelling freak - if it's not spelled right, I can't tolerate it.

English is not the main language for many who post here, and some do not take enough pride in communicating via the written word to make the effort.

I know, but people shouldn't need to have their spelling checked anyway! Why is it that people today can't spell? Is it just laziness, or actual stupidity?
