My sister, whos is 15, used to have dark brown eyes, so dark that you will mistaken them for black...anyways, her eyes are getting lighter, so she keeps on bugging me to ask this, but do you think that her eyes will become like green, blue or something? cuz my eyes are blue, and my brothers are hazel, so she really wants to know.
thanks in advance.

No. Maybe her eyes appear lighter in relation to a color she's wearing or something, but eyecolor doesn't lighten very much at all. If she has dark brown eyes now, she'll have dark brown eyes forever. They definitely WILL NOT lighten to a blue or green. Dark eyes are gorgeous just like light eyes are anyway. If I was her I wouldn't worry about it.

I had dark brown eyes when I was a child. They became lighter and now they are hazel, brown with a lot of green. Weird how that happens. So it could happen to your sister also. I'm sure her eyes are really pretty no matter what color they are.

Well my eyes have gotten lighter in the past...3 years, but now they've stopped so maybe it will stop soon, but if they do happen to change, they probably wont be blue or green, MAYBE hazel. That's what I think anyway.

Brown eyes predominate over blue insofar a the genes are concerned.
I myself have blue eyes, my husband has brown. We have 3 children: one has blue, one has green and the other has brown. Go figure?

No.....I don't believe that....although I wish it were true. Mine were that way as well, very dark,......now my eyes are very light brown. I wish my eyes were like my mother's (green) or my sister's (hazel). I hope for her sake I'm wrong.
